At the start of term we created a short animation using photos we had taken ourselfs, we then edited them in photoshop to get the images we wanted so we could layer the images ontop of each other to make a short animation, the end result is a short 42 second clip, I liked doing this and think i might try using this in my music video, below is the link to the clip we made:

More Music video reviews
I decided to look at music videos that i always remember, this first one I looked at, I always remember because of the story it tells and the emotion it creates.
What I like about this video is that, its editing and styling. I like the clear cuts at the start which get faster with the music, I think a good music video works well if the music and the video is closely linked to each other, so it doesnt seem random or not fitting, i think this music video does that but cutting to the music, but at times dropping the music out to create a story/narrative which fits to the lyrics in the song, which helps make the meaning of the song more powerful. I like the styling of the mise en scene as you instantly assume that they are in afganastan/Iraq which helps the viewer connect with what this song is going to be about and creates a pull for the viewer to carry on watching, as the video goes on I enjoy the way it changes into become some what sc-fi like with the flying tanks, the way they attack it and some people look sacred at it for me the flying objects and the coming togeather or all war items represents war itself, therefore they reaction to it, is simular to peoples reactions of war.
