Before we started on our video we looked at what we thought were the best music videos and why, I picked Pink - stupid Girls
I picked this one because it fits with the song and the culture link between the girl having to decide which to pick which is very relevent at the time of the video and still is now. This video relates to goodwins theory in a few ways for example his theory about genre characteristics as it is relbelling against pop culture. there is a clear link bewteen the lyrics and the visuals, for example a girl walks into a door showing she is stupid.

1) we picked this song as we all knew it the best and we could think of ideas of what we could do, as we all used to like them when we were little so already had a good meomry of the band and the band Image which helped us.
2) what I have learnt is that it is important to plan well and to make sure to take extra shots as back ups just incase another shot doesnt work. I also learn much more about editing and believe that some thought is needed before you film as at the end of a section you want to leave a few seconds for a clean cut.
3) Goodwins theory has connections to this also as it does demonstrate, genre characteristics as it is very cheesy and streotypical. there is lots of lots of close ups of the artist.
4) What i would do to for my assesed music video is plan more and take more time to film it, I would plan the editing too, also would like to expreiment with making it less conventional.
